This handsome hatchet was made using the asymmetric wrap and weld technique.  It has an 80CrV2 steel bit. It's hung on a curved white ash handle and wedged with black walnut.  The curve of the handle puts the edge of the blade at the same level as the user's knuckles giving excellent control.
